How do I calculate on-call and supervision numbers?

Our collective agreement (L21.05) defines the alternative duties for teachers as follows:

  • Every teacher will be assigned the equivalent of 50 half periods (37.5 minutes) of alternative duties, which may include up to 22 half periods (37.5 minutes) of worked on-calls

  • Part time teacher workload is pro-rated to that of full time teachers

Additionally, on calls and supervisions are to be equitably timetabled among classroom teachers

How do I apply for a PD Grant?

OSSTF awards PD grants in the amount of $400 every 2 years. You can find more information, along with the application process, by visiting the PD Grants Page .

How do I increase my ranking on the salary grid?

Your ranking on the salary grid is based on experience and qualifications. Qualifications are managed through QECO (Qualifications Evaluations Council of Ontario).

How do branches access their branch funds?

To access branch funds for the current school year the branch treasurer need complete the Branch Funds Request Form. In addition, they would need to also submit the branch bank statements and all receipts for incurred expenses during the previous school year. All documents can be sent to the Corvus Court location.
